I Need Your Help
I’ve been staring at the walls of a Charlotte hotel room for two days. Jo’s engaged in a ministry conference, while I attempt to be still and quiet hoping to shed the nagging cough that has proven to be a particularly stubborn remnant of my recent bout with the flu and pneumonia. As much as I value and teach others to value being still and quiet, it’s not easy for me. I don’t even tend to be still or quiet when I sleep, rolling and talking in my sleep since I was a kid.
I’m trying. I stopped answering the phone today. Though I have caught myself talking out loud to myself a couple of times. I’m a bit stir crazy!
The cough or the isolation seems to have wrecked my creativity. Or perhaps it’s the hotel room. Either way, I feel stuck. Yesterday, I was locked in on Scripture and the vastness of God’s grace for me. Today, I’m a bit flat.
So, I thought I might ask you for help.
I’m refocusing and reprioritizing what I tend to do best – serving leaders. I’ve been working on content for a new email newsletter specifically focused on helping believers in business leadership. The goal is to provide a weekly resource that can be read in 3 minutes or less and provide clear, specific steps to embrace one’s faith while improving one’s business leadership. Here’s a few working examples:

I need help with choosing a name for this new newsletter. I’ve been developing content for months under the working title & subtitle:
The Leadership Brief - Brief Insights. Lasting Impact.
Now, I’m second-guessing myself, wondering if the title should clearly communicate that it’s a resource for believers in business or that it is a faith-based resource. I’m finding pros and cons for each approach and have a long list of potential titles and subtitles – Christian Leadership Brief, Believers Leading Businesses, Believers in Business Brief - but I’ve not found that one option that just grabs me. I want to stay away from an overly religious title, but I’m not looking to ambush anyone with faith-based content either. I have considered keeping “The Leadership Brief” and changing the subtitle to something like “For Believers in Business”…
Do you have any thoughts or suggestions?
Also, is there a need for such a resource? Is the space already crowded?
